The analysis ranks the lenders on the basis of a score from 1 to 5. Thus, a glance is enough to understand the health of the banks.
In order for a bank to be evaluated and considered safe or not, the indicators taken into consideration are the Common equity Tier 1 and the Total capital ratio, of which the European Central Bank calls for a general minimum level of 10% and 7% respectively.
To get 5 stars, the Texas ratio is also taken into consideration. Calculated as the ratio of impaired loans to the sum of assets and loan provisions, a value lower than 1 means it is to be considered positive. If greater than 1 it is a penalizing signal.

If you do not find your bank within this ranking it does not mean that it is not solid and that it is at risk. In this article I have only published the top of the class, i.e. the safest and most solid banks that sit on the top step of the podium.
