Democratic party stronghold Moeldoko want to hold a press conference at Hambalang, West Java. The press conference will discuss the latest information from the results of the event which was claimed by the extraordinary congress (KLB) in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
A press conference is scheduled for Thursday (25/3/2021) at 13.00 WIB at the Hambalang Sport Center, Bogor, West Java. There is a reason for them to choose Hambalang.
One of the initiators of the KLB PD, Darmizal, said Hambalang is a historic area for the Democratic Party. He then brought up the Hambalang project corruption case that ensnared several PD cadres.
“Regarding activities, it is true that we held it in Hambalang. We held a conference in the most historic and paradoxical place. One side, ‘say no, but on the other hand do corruption in congregation’, including the Hambalang project,” he said.
Darmizal assessed that Hambalang is part of the PD’s sad story. He hopes that the Hambalang problem can be resolved.
“Hopefully Hambalang will be the next page in completing the unloading of the sad story of the past,” he said.
He accused Hambalang of being the reason for Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) coup Anas Urbaningrum from the position of Chairman of the PD. He considered that the coup was enforced.
“Hambalang was chosen as the place for the press conference because it has historical value for the Democratic Party. It was through this Hambalang that SBY coup the General Chair of the Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum for the first time. Because the political coup failed, SBY carried out a coup through legal means which seemed forced,” he said.
