Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The share price of consumer goods issuer PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) plunged into the red zone in the first trading session this morning, Friday (28/5/2021).
In fact, this issuer has just announced a plan to distribute cash dividends to be paid on June 24 with a value of Rp 3.81 trillion or Rp 100/share.
Since this morning, data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) shows that Unilever’s shares are still in the red zone. At the close of trading session I, the shares of this consumer goods issuer fell 3% to a price of Rp 5,650/share.
Previously, this stock closed at Rp 5,825/share in yesterday’s trading (Thursday, 27/5).
Since this morning, the total share transactions have reached Rp 74.16 billion with the volume of shares traded reaching 12.96 million shares. The frequency of transactions was recorded as 4,118 times with 72% being domestic transactions.
Despite the slump, Unilever’s shares were observed to be still in demand by foreigners with a total net purchase or net buy amounting to Rp 2.45 billion.
In the past month, Unilever shares fell 7.76% and had improved in the last week before the implementation of the RPUS, slightly up 0.44%. Since the beginning of the year, this stock has also fallen 23.13%, currently Unilever’s market capitalization has reached Rp 215.55 trillion.
Regarding the distribution of shares in June, Unilever said that the Cum dividend (deadline for the names of registered shareholders) for the regular and negotiated markets will fall on June 7, 2021 and in the cash market it will fall on June 9, 2021.
Previously, the company had distributed an interim dividend to its shareholders on December 17, 2020 with a total value of Rp. 3.31 trillion or Rp. 87/share. So that the total dividends distributed by Unilever are Rp. 7.13 trillion from the 2020 net profit.
Throughout 2020, Unilever’s profit fell 3.11% to Rp 7.16 trillion, from Rp 7.39 trillion the previous year. This decrease in net profit was in line with the slight increase in revenue in the year of the Covid-19 pandemic.
UNVR’s total net sales in 2020 reached Rp 42.97 trillion, up 0.12% from 2019 which was Rp 42.92 trillion. Domestic sales reached Rp 41.16 trillion, up from Rp 40.87 trillion in 2019, while export sales fell to Rp 1.81 trillion from the previous Rp 2.05 trillion.
