Abu Dhabi: The UAE authorities have announced that family group visas will be issued to those who want to come with their families for tourism, medical treatment etc. Single and multiple entry visas of 60 and 180 days are available.
Accompanying patients can also be brought on this visa. Details will be announced later. It has also been clarified that UAE residence visa holders can bring their parents, spouse and children under their own sponsorship on a 90-day visa. The visa fee is 750 dirhams.
AED 1,000 deposited as bank guarantee will be refunded upon return of the visa holder. Individual visa can be taken only by those who have a minimum salary of 8000 dirhams or more. Another requirement is to have a building tenancy agreement in one’s own name. Officials explained that even though the 90-day visa has been abolished from February 1, the family members will continue to have one.
Visitor visa can be renewed for another 30 days
In the UAE, individual visitor visas valid for 30, 60 and 90 days can be renewed for another 30 days without leaving the country. The cost is 1000 dirhams (approximately Rs. 22,521). However, more people are interested in leaving the country and coming on a new visa rather than renewing it by paying a fee. It is better to stay in UAE for 2-3 more months if you do this.
