Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday called on the United States to work with China to find a path of peaceful coexistence between the two great countries.

He noted that some Americans were reluctant to admit that other countries had the right to develop as well, to accept that China was getting stronger and stronger and making progress, and to agree that China and the States- United could achieve mutual benefits and win-win results. He said these Americans were trying to form a camp to contain and repress China.
“The erroneous words and actions of the American side not only seriously harm the interests of the two peoples, but also seriously impact peace and stability in the world,” Wang said.
“China’s position is constant and clear. Dialogue is possible, but must be held on an equal footing; cooperation is welcome, but it must be reciprocal; competition is not a problem, but it must be healthy; we are not afraid of confrontation and we will fight to the end, “he said.
Noting that the two sides had everything to gain in cooperation and everything to lose in confrontation, Wang said this was the most important lesson to be learned from the exchanges between China and the United States for more than fifty years. years and that history would surely continue to prove this truth.
“We hope that the American side will sincerely implement the consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, fulfill its commitments to build confidence and work with China to explore a path of peaceful coexistence between the two great countries,” Mr. Wang added.
