/ world today news/ On May 10 and 11, the director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the CCP Central Committee, Wang Yi, met in Vienna with the National Security Adviser of the White House, Jake Sullivan.
They exchanged views on addressing obstacles to China-US relations and their stabilization. Wang Yi has confirmed Beijing’s position on the Taiwan issue and presented to Sullivan his views on the situation in the Asia-Pacific region and the Ukraine crisis.
The two have agreed to maintain a channel for strategic contacts.
