The appearance of Evan Peters as Pietro in ‘WandaVision’ has surprised more than one and now the big question is if with his appearance in the Disney + series the ‘X-Men’ films produced by Fox become canon of the MCU .
Things took an unexpected turn in episode 5 of WandaVision, as the Disney + series (enjoy several days without cost of the service if you are a new subscriber) introduced Quicksilver in the final stretch, but not the one we saw in Avengers: Age of Ultron played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but it was the version in charge of Evan Peters, who was in X-Men: Days of the Future past and two more sequels. Just because of its antecedent, a question comes to the minds of many about it: Does the introduction of the character mean that X-Men films produced by Fox are now canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
There are several things to consider; the first one is a detail that really seems important during the episode, since if it is reproduced with the option of “Audio description in English”, a voice-over narrates the things that happen without omitting the dialogues. It is here that in the sequence in which Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) opens the door to discover that it is her brother Pietro, the voice says: “Wanda watches Pietro’s version of the X-Men movies”, so really WandaVision wants to make it clear that he does not hide the existence of the mutant tapes in the MCU.
