Tonight the traitors and allies gather for one last time for a reunion episode of The Traitors† Everyone seems to agree that it’s “just a game”, but the tensions are still palpable months after the shooting. Especially between Walter Damen and Jamie-Lee Six things get really bad.

Criminal lawyer Walter Damen became what he felt betrayed by fellow traitor Jamie-Lee Six† When presenter Staf Coppens asks Jamie-Lee why she voted for Walter at the round table, she says that Damen was too suspicious and that he mentioned her name to others. The Antwerp resident quickly intervenes. “That was broadcast incorrectly in the program. There has never been a moment of potential betrayal from me to the traitors,” Walter said firmly. “Today, that should not be used or abused to publicize one’s own plan.”

On the program, Damen suggested that Jamie-Lee was sabotaging him to put himself in the spotlight. “Playing Walter Damen home, that works out well for an influencer who wants some extra followers,” it sounded then in the heat of the battle.
“If I look at it from a TV maker’s point of view, I made for boring TV,” Damen later explained. “I played the game so that all traitors would survive. Maybe Jamie-Lee thought that too little real TV and therefore went against it. That is the difference between someone who is involved with those things on a daily basis and a lawyer who appears on TV once.”
The Antwerp criminal lawyer then emphasized that there is no bad blood between the two ex-traitors. “It’s still a game,” he said. But in the reunion episode, that game idea seems far away.
The comeback of Coppens
Star player Astrid Coppens also returns for the reunion. She left the game with a bang. Coppens stormed away from the round table after unsuccessfully trying to play Walter home. The allies did not follow her in her suspicion, the next night she was murdered by the traitors.
Coppens only later discovered that six players had a pact not to vote for each other. Coincidentally, the three traitors were part of that pact. The other allies just didn’t stand a chance.
