“We will limit the number of customers that can be in one store at a time. Stores will now allow no more than five customers for every 1,000 square feet at any given time, approximately 20 percent of a store’s capacity,” says the document.

“We will also institute a one-way movement through our aisles next week at several of our stores, using floor markers and associates’ directions,” the statement read. “We hope this helps more customers avoid close contact with others while they shop.”

On March 14, Walmart announced in a post that it would cut its hours at its 24-hour locations across the United States. Dacona Smith, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Walmart US, wrote on the website:

“To better support our associates and serve our customers, we will adjust our hours of operation beginning Sunday, March 15. Walmart and Neighborhood Markets stores will be open from 6 am to 11 pm until further notice. This will help ensure that associates can source the products our customers are looking for and perform cleaning and disinfection Stores that currently operate at shorter times (eg, they close regularly at 10 pm or open at 7 am) will maintain their current hours of operation “

Of Georgia’s coronavirus cases, 58 percent are between the ages of 18 and 59, while those over 60 account for 36 percent, according to a report by the Georgia Department of Health. People up to age 17 account for 1 percent of cases, and the remaining percentage of cases are unknown.

As of Saturday morning, the 910 cases in Fulton County are the majority of any Georgia location. The next highest totals are 607 in Dougherty County, DeKalb with 483 cases, Cobb with 422 cases, Gwinnett with 353 cases, Bartow with 159 cases, Carroll with 147 cases, and Clayton with 206 cases.
