Thus, “any accommodation of a person in a nursing home (or nursing and care home), whether he comes from home or from another establishment, whether he returns to his establishment after hospitalization or whether arrives at the establishment after a hospitalization, can only be done if this resident has a medical certificate of non-contagion “, writes the Minister in a communication sent this Sunday to 602 Walloon nursing homes.
Upon arrival at the establishment, the residents concerned will remain isolated in their room for a period of 14 days during which their health parameters will be taken and reported in their Individualized Care Record.
Finally, according to the needs of these residents “and as much as possible”, the establishments will make sure to identify the staff members who will take turns with them, said Minister Morreale.
