PARIS (Reuters) – Main stocks to watch Tuesday on Wall Street where futures indicate an opening down between 0.3% and 0.4%:
* JOHNSON & JOHNSON on Tuesday announced better-than-expected quarterly results showing that sales of its COVID-19 vaccine, whose use is suspended in the United States, had brought it $ 100 million in the first three months of the year.
* PROCTER & GAMBLE – The consumer staples giant on Tuesday reported better-than-expected quarterly revenue and confirmed its annual forecast.
* TRAVELERS – The US insurer on Tuesday published first quarter profit above market expectations, as higher returns on investments helped cushion the impact of the cold snap that hit several US states in February.
* NETFLIX will release its quarterly results after the close.
* APPLE is organizing its first event of the year this Tuesday and could announce new products on this occasion.
* TESLA took 2% after-market on Monday after chief executive Elon Musk said a Tesla’s autopilot was not on when the apparently driverless Tesla crashed into a tree Saturday in Texas, killing its two occupants. Two American agencies have opened an investigation into this accident.
* IBM gains 3% in pre-market trading after the publication of the strongest growth in its quarterly turnover for more than two years thanks to its services in cloud computing.
* UNITED AIRLINES reported a larger-than-expected quarterly net loss of $ 2.4 billion on Monday due to rising fuel prices and falling airline flights in a context of low demand due to the pandemic. In after-market trading, it fell by 1.8%.
* BOEING – Dubai Aerospace Enterprise announced an order for 15 737 MAX 8 aircraft on Tuesday.
* NIKE – Citigroup lowers its recommendation to “neutral” against “buy”.
