Major Wall Street indexes opened lower on Thursday as mixed economic data and aggressive comments from a Federal Reserve official raised concerns that the US central bank will not ease its aggressive stance on raising interest rates .
The industrial index fell 224.6 points, or 0.67%, to 33,329.27 points.
The index fell 39.5 points, or 1%, to 3919.26 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 175.0 points, or 1.56%, to 11,008.672 points.
