Wall Street is down as strong economic data renewed interest rate fears

I opened Major Wall Street Indices Lower today Thursday as new data confirmed the strength of the US economy and at the same time increased concerns about the Federal Reserve’s continued tightening of monetary policy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 143.13 points, or 0.43%, to 33,233.35 points.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index fell 25.18 points, or 0.65%, to 3853.26 points, according to Reuters.

The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 161.50 points, or 1.51%, to 10,550.10 points.
