– The Italian sculptor Arturo Dimodica, who produced the’Charging Bull’, a symbol of New York Wall Street, died at the age of 80, local media reported on the 20th (local time). Having lived in New York for more than 40 years, he is best known for making one of the Wall Street landmarks, the rushing bull.
The bronze bull statue, measuring 4.9m long and weighing 3.5t, was inspired by the’Black Monday,’ which was the beginning of the global stock crash in October 1987. Timothy later explained the background of the production, saying, “I wanted to imprint the fact that I am strong by myself.”
