walking other people’s dogs is his job

Lola Hartmann loves dogs. In 2021, while working in Luxembourg in a podiatry practice, she left everything behind to set up her own home care and pet walking services company in Thionville.

Câlin & go follows a reflection on the unavailability of dog owners during the day and the need to take the dog out. “It was when I got my French bulldog in 2019 that I realized the difficulty of balancing everything. Some days, I had to ask those around me to take the dog out for me.

A regular clientele

The idea then made its way to the big step in March 2021. Almost two years later, Lola Hartmann built up her own clientele in the center of Thionville, mainly made up of regular customers: “These are for many people who work in Luxembourg, who leave early in the morning and return late at night, which does not allow them to care for their mate during the day”.

Every day she goes to visit the customers who entrust her with the keys and during the lunch break she takes the dog out which is waiting for her. “They know it’s for a walk, so they make me happy when I come,” laughs the young woman.

“She is really cool! »

It is not uncommon to meet her in the city with three or four dogs on a leash. The “pee” outings last between 30 minutes and an hour depending on the formula chosen by the pet owner. But the service can go further as it also offers to feed them, give them medicine if necessary and even participate in their education thanks to the collaborative work with a dog trainer who is also a behaviorist, Marc Ludwiczak.

“She is really cool! “Judge Patricia Renaux who entrusts him with her dog Ollie who suffers from polyarthritis“ with his eyes closed ”. Lola Hartmann is even thinking of expanding her pedestrian zone and offering nature trips, for example to the forest, to “let the dogs run wild”. However, the company is not authorized to take care of category 1 and 2 dogs, an important detail.

It will cost you €24 per hour (€12 every half hour) in the form of a flat rate which generates, depending on the duration of the commitment, a reduction in the hourly rate.
