We at ProiezionidiBorsa editorial staff have talked several times about how good it is to walk every day, but the benefits of this activity seem endless.
Walking is a simple, normal gesture and we could even say it natural. Babies begin to crawl and then finally walk: it is a natural human propensity to stand up and move their legs.
Not only physical and mental well-being, but also much more that we will discover shortly. Here’s how to let ourselves be surprised more and more by the most spontaneous human activity there is.
Walking is not only good for your health but also has two extraordinary effects
What will these effects ever be? One has to do with our pockets, the other with everything around us.
As already mentioned in this article, walking can save us money. Think of the money we spend every day on gasoline or on bus and subway tickets. Let’s imagine paying 40 euros a month for the public transport pass. If our office isn’t too far from home, we might consider going for a nice walk. In this way we would save almost 500 euros per month, which would not be bad at all.
Out of our pockets, however, there is another great benefit of making the most of our beloved legs.
It’s good for the environment
That’s right, preferring a walk to using the car is certainly good for the environment. During the lockdown we also witnessed the advantages of what many have ironically defined as one home detention. The main advantage is precisely the reduction of pollution. Probably the beaches and the sea have not been so clean for centuries. Not to mention the noise pollution of the horns and the screams of motorists.
We said that walking is not only good for health but also produces others two extraordinary effects, but perhaps there is an error in this sentence. Why? Because if the environment is fine, it means that our health will also be positively affected. So let’s remember that respecting nature means respecting ourselves and those around us.
