Walking Group for People with Dementia and Carers – Join Us for a Walk in Bomenpark, Heesch

14 minutes ago Welfare & Society

BERNHEZE – “Walking with people with dementia and their carers is a great way to get moving and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The walking group originated as a group of informal carers and has since grown into a group in which volunteers are also involved.

“I enjoy walking with this group. Being together with fellow sufferers gives me energy, and we know what we have in common: half a word is enough. Exercising in a beautiful environment is a plus. You can choose between a short and a long walk, the choice is yours. Even if you don’t want to walk that day, you can sit and chat on the terrace. After a final cup of coffee or tea, I go home with a satisfied and relaxed feeling.”

Walking can be a great way for people with dementia and other memory and brain problems to come together with fellow sufferers and their carers or volunteers. Exercise is good for everyone! Would you also like to take a walk with us on Friday 18 August?

Every third Friday of the month at 10 a.m. we walk in the Bomenpark in Heesch. Participation in the activity is free. The coffee or tea is for your own account. Do you have questions? Then call Trudy Ceelen 06-26307644 or mail to [email protected]
