This Sunday, a loud noise mobilized hundreds of people who were walking through the square Times Square on New York, USA. What was initially reported as gunfire was actually a barricade that fell near the plaza, according to NBC.
The abrupt noise caused people to disperse in the area around 6 p.m. Sunday near 46th Street and Seventh Avenue. There were reportedly no injuries in the incident.
Police who responded to the reports outside the Disney Store confirmed that it was not the shooting, but rather a dispute between two people that led to the fall of the barricade.
One person was arrested, according to NBC, on a charge related to possession of marijuana.
Videos posted to Twitter show people running in the opposite direction after what they thought were gunshots sounded.
