Walker picked off the A4 near Weteringbrug | Inland

The first report about the walker arrived around 02.25. The man found 45-year-old Hillegommer at the Ringvaart aqueduct on the A4. “The man turned out to be under the influence and apparently wanted to walk home via the A4,” the police wrote. He was aggressive and recalcitrant. Police took the walker in their car off the A4 and informed him that he would be fined for walking on the highway.

Shortly afterwards, the police saw that the man wanted to walk back on the A4: they stopped him and showed him a safe walking route to his home.

Some time later it turned out that the man was walking on the highway again. The lanes of the A4 were therefore quickly closed and the man was arrested, taken to the police station and locked up.

An official report is drawn up against the man.
