In addition to Quilindschy Hartman, Patrick Wålemark can also make his international debut this month. The winger is for the first time in Sweden’s final selection. Wålemark is rewarded with this for his excellent development which he has achieved at Feyenoord in recent months.
Sweden play in the UEFA Nations League against Serbia and Slovenia. Matches are scheduled for Saturday 24 September at 8.45pm and Tuesday 27 September to 27 September. In Group B, Norway lead with ten points from four games. Sweden are third with three points from four games.
The next international period will be quiet at the 1908 training complex. In addition to Wålemark, coach Arne Slot also sees Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Orkun Kökcü Ofir Marciano, Santiago Gimenez, Fredrik Bjørkan, Marcus Pedersen, Gernot Trauner, Marcos López, Sebastian Szymanski, Dávid Hancko and Karim Dermanevlieg to their respective national teams. Quinten Timber is in the preselection of Dutch Juniors and Justin Bijlow of Orange. Final selections will be announced on Friday.
