Waldshut-Tiengen (Baden-Württemberg) – A gruesome crime shook the small town of Hohentengen in March 2024. Eddie C. (19) killed his father Erminio (61), mother Anna (58) and brother Giuseppe (34). He seriously injured his sister Valentina (36). The German-Italian is now standing before the Waldshut-Tiengen district court – and confessed to the crime.
New shocking details emerge. The killer used a small folding knife and a pair of scissors for the bloodbath.
Blade was 8 centimeters long
The evening before the crime, Eddie C. had attacked and injured his parents and brother with headbutts and punches. The police were alerted and Eddie was allowed to stay at home.

A short time later, Brother Giuseppe ran down the stairs. Without warning, Eddie stabbed him in the neck, throat and chest with a knife.
Victims fought for their lives with chairs
Then the defendant stabbed his father. His mother and sister bravely grabbed chairs and tried to fend Eddie off.
In the meantime, despite his fatal injuries, Brother Giuseppe had dragged himself into the stairwell to alert neighbors.
Eddie slaughtered his mother. Then he knelt on his sister and stabbed her in the head. But Valentina was able to defend herself and escape.
Fatally injured father wanted to help his wife
Tragic: Father Erminio tried to help his dying wife despite his severe stab wounds. But his son took a pair of scissors and slit his carotid artery. The parents died in the apartment.
The killer allowed himself to be arrested on the doorstep. Brother Giuseppe died a short time later in a clinic.
Senior Public Prosecutor Christian Lorenz (60): “When he was brought to court, the defendant had a prayer book with him.” After a short period of pre-trial detention, Eddie C. was placed in a psychiatric hospital.
“I was an avenging angel”
During the trial, Eddie C. told Judge Martin Hauser (57): “I was an avenging angel. It was like a mission from God that I killed her.”
The court considers Eddie C. to be incapable of criminal responsibility due to schizophrenia. The case therefore concerns his placement in a psychiatric hospital. The public prosecutor considers Eddie C. to be dangerous and is seeking preventive detention in Baden-Württemberg.
