Rijkswaterstaat and NS still recommend both not to go out. On the rail and road, travelers still have to deal with the consequences of the extreme winter weather.

People who nevertheless have to take the road, for example for a crucial job, are advised to adjust their driving style: drive slowly, keep your distance, do not change lanes unnecessarily and brake gently.

The Dutch Railways also advises people to postpone their journey if possible. The intention is to restart the timetable gradually, but “we cannot yet give any certainty about the number of trains, routes and frequency”. “The situation is very uncertain, it can change from moment to moment.”
