- Huge crowds are expected at Schiphol again. The airport has therefore asked airlines to cancel flights. The crowds are caused by the May holiday in combination with a staff shortage.
- It is the last day to file your tax return. The income tax return must be submitted before May 1. The BelastingTelefoon and the online helpdesk of the Tax and Customs Administration are especially open to help the latest submitters.
- The painting The Standard Bearer by Rembrandt is now on display for everyone to see in the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden. The work will tour twelve museums in all Dutch provinces for a year before it is permanently displayed in the Rijksmuseum. The canvas was bought last year for 175 million euros from the Rothschild banking family.

What did you miss?
Again there is one critical report appeared about a department within the National Police Unit responsible for undercover operations. The reason for the report was the third suicide in two years by an officer with the Special Investigation Service (DSO). NRC writes about it.
Managers would not have shared all the necessary information with the next of kin of the officer, and the support for the undercover work is also not in order, the report says. Suicide was also previously investigated within the department. Then, after an investigation, it emerged that undercover agents are left to their own devices.
