An anonymous Reddit user, who, according to her, works as a waitress, told an unpleasant story from her practice. Subsequently, this story went viral on the Internet.
Yes, she showed a photo of a receipt in which the client indicated that he was not going to pay her a tip because she “rudely” asked him and his wife if they wanted to split the bill, reports FoxNews.
The subtotal of the receipt was $65.80 – but in the place where customers usually indicate how much tea they give, the following was written:
“No tip because it was very rude to ask my wife and I if we wanted separate checks.”
The waitress noted that, firstly, in their establishment such a question to clients is standard. Secondly, according to her, she had no idea that in front of her was a married couple.
“He was in his 50s to 60s and she looked much younger,” the woman wrote in a comment.
The situation sparked lively discussion online.
