Zendaya, Hollywood’s rising star, is currently taking Boston by storm while filming her latest romance movie, "The Drama," alongside Robert Pattinson. But it seems even local news outlets can be starstruck, with one station accidentally capturing Zendaya on camera during a recent broadcast.

A Boston news station, WCVB, found itself trending on TikTok after unknowingly featuring Zendaya in some b-roll footage aired during its coverage of the Newbury Street Holiday Stroll. The clip, shared by TikTok user @chlomance, shows Zendaya casually walking and chatting with her mother amidst the bustling crowds. As of Tuesday morning, the video has racked up over 500,000 views.

"WCVB Channel 5 shooting b-roll and not clocking they got Zendaya," the video’s caption quips.

WCVB later acknowledged the accidental celebrity sighting, confirming that they had "recorded the celebrity encounter completely on accident."

Recently, Zendaya’s presence in Boston has ignited a frenzy of excitement among fans.

"We were watching Channel 5 and noticed that Zendaya was on the screen and I was like ‘wait, what?’" Chloe Mitchell, the viewer who uploaded the viral clip, shared with the station. The actress has been spotted enjoying the city’s offerings, including a visit to the popular Tatte coffee shop and a stop at Rainbows Pottery to admire local artwork. Other lucky Bostonians have even captured glimpses of Zendaya and Pattinson filming scenes together.

Zendaya was also photographed alongside her partner, Tom Holland, further fueling the excitement surrounding her Boston visit. This isn’t Zendaya’s first time filming in Boston, as she previously shot her hit film, "Challengers," in the city as well. With Zendaya seemingly enjoying Boston’s charm, fans eagerly anticipate more sightings of the beloved actress exploring what the city has to offer.
