The Lebanese artist Wael Jassar, in a telephone interview on the Al-Nahar channel, spoke about the reason for the cancellation of his performance at the 32nd Arab Music Festival, which was to be held on October 12 at the Cairo Opera House on high -stage of the “Fountain” Theater.
Wael Jassar said in his statements: “I was among the artists selected to sing at the Arab Music Festival, and I had the pleasure of attending the festival at the Opera House of the Egypt, but because of my delicate circumstances. beloved country that Lebanon is going through, I decided to apologize for being involved because psychologically I can’t sing with the people.” circumstances.”
He continued: “The intention of the artist, by nature, is to make people feel happy and cheerful, but how can I give this feeling to the audience when I am sad for my people and my family in Lebanon so I made the right decision from my point of view.”
He said: “I want to thank all those responsible for managing the festival, led by Mr. Khaled Dagher, who understood my opinion and accepted my decision. Egypt and its people love Lebanon and Egypt always stands by Lebanon in every crisis and at every time.”
He finished his statements: “I owe my life to the people of Egypt, who proved their love for me, and Lord, it will always be between us.”
It should be noted that the Arab Music Festival, for its 32nd session, is to be held from October 11 to 24, and that the name of the people’s musician is “Sayed Darwish.”
