Vzquez hopes to “provide a solution” to the Burgos Sleep Unit so that it continues to be a “national benchmark”

The Minister of Health, Alejandro Vázquez Ramos, has shown his commitment to “provide a solution” to the Burgos Sleep Unit so that it can be a “national reference”.

This was underlined, in statements collected by Europa Press, shortly before attending the inauguration of the new director of the Río Hortega University Hospital in Valladolid, Belén Cantán, where the adviser acknowledged that there had been a “big problem” with the death of two of its promoters, Joaquín Tern and María Luz Alonso, and the dismissal of one of its pulmonologists.

“We will give you the solution so that this unit, which is an almost nationwide reference unit, can continue to help you within limits,” he explained after waiting lists were denounced until 2024.
