12 IT companies decided to transfer their activities from Belarus to Latvia, said the Minister of Economy of the Baltic Republic Janis Vitenbergs.

In order for Belarusian companies to be able to quickly transfer their business to Latvia, a special team was formed, which includes representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIDA). RIA Novosti.

“We realize that it is now problematic for these companies to obtain the necessary certificates from state institutions of Belarus, therefore we work with each company individually, listen to requests and, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, promptly resolve issues related to the preparation of the necessary documents. 12 companies expressed their desire to move to Latvia, ”Vitenbergs said.

These companies represent the information and telecommunications technology sector and also specialize in green energy.

Formerly Warsaw suggested Belarusian firms to move to Poland. Director of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications Sergey Plugotarenko stated in an interview with VZGLYAD newspaper that Russia has more chances to attract Belarusian specialists than Poland.
