At VW a popular golf model faces the end. The reason: The car manufacturers are currently not planning a successor, production is to be discontinued.
Customers who want to switch to a different model, however, have to be prepared for long waiting times. This is reported by the “Automobilwoche”.
VW model is about to end
The Golf Sportsvan is particularly popular with families with increased space requirements and seniors. A successor is not planned at VW, however. The company has now officially announced this. Instead, previous Sportsvan drivers would probably have to switch to the VW T-Roc.
The Sportsvan is the largest member of the VW Golf series. The five-seater offers plenty of space for families with children and lots of luggage. The compact van has been produced in Wolfsburg since 2014 and also in China since 2016.

Long delivery times for alternative models
The T-Roc, the alternative to the Golf Sportsvan, is an absolute success model at VW. However, due to enormous production problems, customers have to expect long waiting times with the compact SUV, as with many other car models.
“Depending on the equipment, there may be longer delivery times for all models,” quotes the industry and business newspaper “Automobilwoche” from VW’s internal documents.
