VVD member Mulder exchanges House of Representatives for Hague City Hall | Inland

For Mulder, the new track means a move of approximately 200 meters, from the House of Representatives to the Hague City Hall, nicknamed the Ice Palace.

Mulder (50), born in Hoogeveen and raised in Zwolle, was a municipal councilor for the VVD in The Hague from 2002 to 2010, the last four years as party chairman. In 2010 he was elected to the Lower House. There he is party spokesperson for Foreign Affairs. He is also one of the Brexit rapporteurs for the House. During a parliamentary debate last month, Mulder received compliments from PVV leader Geert Wilders for his commitment as a blue helmet in Srebrenica.

Revis will step down as councilor on 17 September. The Hague city council will then vote on his nomination as alderman. He will then be responsible for Scheveningen, where he lives, among other things. Revis gets a job at Staatsbosbeheer.

It is not yet known who will be Mulder’s successor in the VVD parliamentary party.
