The Vuelta a España has now reached its final week (don’t miss any of the latest updates in our WielerFlits Liveblog), but there are more races on the calendar this week. For example, in Belgium there is the GP de Wallonie and in Italy the Giro della Toscana.
In the Walloon GP all eyes are on Mathieu van der Poel. The current world champion won this one-day race last year, which traditionally finishes at the Citadel of Namur (2.2 km at 5%). The men finish there just after 6 p.m., while the GP de Wallonie for women already finishes just before 3 p.m.
The region of Tuscany is today the setting of the Tour of Tuscany, where the climb of Monte Serra (9.3 km at 6.6%) has to be climbed twice. We will know the winner there around 4 p.m. Finally, there is also a course in the Tour of Slovakiawhere the opening stage finishes after more than 170 kilometers around 2:15 p.m.
