Serbian President Alexander Vucic said today that Serbia has the highest average salary in the region, which was 556 euros in March, and believes that it will soon surpass Bulgaria in terms of salaries, Tanjug reported, quoted by BTA.

Vucic said that according to official figures, the average salary in Montenegro in March was 526 euros, in Bosnia and Herzegovina about 500 euros, in the Republic of Northern Macedonia 100 euros lower than in Serbia, and in Albania 150 euros lower. 160 euros.

He said that Serbia, of course, has no more highways than Germany, but in terms of its area, Serbia is building more highways than it and other European countries. Currently, 5 highways are being built in the country, and the construction of 3 more will start by the end of the year, Vucic stressed.

“I am proud to be able to respond to anyone who underestimates the citizens of Serbia,” Vucic said.

The president added that the Fiscal Council has backed Serbia’s draft fiscal strategy, and that if such good results are reported in May as in the first four months of the year, salaries and pensions will be able to increase.
