tvVTM GO is launching a brand new youth project ‘The Big Pitch’. The streaming platform offers young creators the opportunity to produce their own shortie. It was no coincidence that the news was announced during the presentation of De Jamies, the awards for the best online creators.
Good news for young creators between 18 and 25 years old who dream of a career as a TV maker. As of today, they can register for the brand new youth project ‘The Big Pitch’. The intention is to produce a short and binge-worthy series for streamers – from start to finish. The three ideas that make the final cut ultimately come to life on VTM GO.
With this brand new youth project, VTM GO wants to put the spotlight on young talented video creators and open the gates to the media world wide. The talent program gives them the unique opportunity to develop their own idea under professional guidance.
During the program, ten selected talents can expect intensive, tailor-made guidance from PIT, the internal production house of VTM behind successful programs such as ‘Blind Married’, ‘Drop Off’ and ‘Ten to See’. Workshops are used to develop a convincing pitch and pitch trailer for their own series. Later this year, viewers can vote for their favorite project and the jury will also decide. Finally, the winners can produce their own VTM GO SHORTIE.
“On Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch we see excellent online content from young creators every day. As the largest Belgian streaming platform, VTM GO wants to offer these young and unknown creators a stage to shine and put their own stamp on the VTM content of tomorrow,” said Calogero Macaluso, director of streaming. “We swing open the doors of the VTM pitchroom and offer them the opportunity to work together with talented people from the profession. With ‘The Big Pitch’ we want to invest in new, young talents and in ideas from makers with diverse backgrounds. And of course we also want to involve our VTM GO SHORTIES fan. They can vote and thus have a say in what type of content appears on VTM GO. This means we are closer than ever to our target group.”
