Voting will begin early in the city

Today, Saturday, is the first day of early voting across the city.

At the top of the list, of course, is the presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Also on the ballot are all state seats in the US House of Representatives, seats in the State Senate and the State Senate.

The Senate seat currently held by Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand is on the ballot, and she is running for re-election.

In addition to voting for candidates, New Yorkers will vote yes or no on six ballot measures.

The one that gets the most attention is Proposition 1.

This campaign aims to amend the state’s Bill of Rights Constitution, adding additional protections against discrimination based on race, age, disability and sex, including sexual orientation, identity gender and pregnancy.

A yes vote also protects the right to abortion under the state Constitution.

The other five proposals are city initiatives that came out of the Charter Review Commission created by Mayor Adams.

Some of these proposals would weaken some of the power of the city council.

The polls will be open from 8 am to 5 pm.

Early voting will continue until next Sunday, November 3.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5.
