The starting signal for voting was given by Jan-Willem Roodbeen and Jeroen Kijk in de Vegte, together with a number of ‘Top 2000 babies’: listeners who listened during the past 25 editions of the Top 2000 were born. In their morning show, Jan-Willem and Jeroen talked to these listeners about the song that was heard during their birth.
Voters can submit a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 35 songs of their own choice until Friday, December 6, 4 p.m. via nporadio2.nl. During the Voting Final Day on Friday, December 6, the top 10 will be announced between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Top 2000 from 2024. The entire list will be revealed on Friday, December 13.

During Voting Week, NPO Radio 2‘s morning show with Jan-Willem Roodbeen and Jeroen Kijk in de Vegte comes every working day (6 a.m. to 9 a.m.) from the Top 2000 Stembus and cafés in the country. In their program they receive well-known artists for live performances. During the day, NPO Radio 2 regularly switches to the Stembus that drives through the country. Annemieke Schollaardt, Daniël Lippens and Paul Rabbering can also be heard alternately from the Ballot Box.

The broadcast of the Top 2000 starts on Tuesday, December 24 at 11 p.m. with a new opening show, lasting one hour, by Bart Arens. The broadcast of the list will then start at 00:00. The number one can traditionally be heard on New Year’s Eve just before New Year’s Eve.
Top 2000 Coffee
The Top 2000 Café in Sound & Vision in Hilversum can again be visited physically and virtually for seven days, 24 hours a day, during the broadcast of the list. Ticket sales for a live visit to the Top 2000 Café start Saturday, December 7 at 10 a.m. via nporadio2.nl. Admission tickets are only available online. During the broadcast of the list via the NPO Radio 2 site, the public can make video calls at the touch of a button to be present in the Top 2000 Café via TV screens.

Of NPO Radio 2 Top 2000 is one of the largest radio and music events in the Netherlands, which approximately 10 million people watch and listen to every year. The list of lists is compiled every year by the public. The 26th Top 2000 can be seen and heard from Christmas Eve at 11 p.m. until New Year’s Eve.
