Voting is open to select the finalists of the Ortigueira Festival emerging bands contest

This Tuesday the voting has been open to select the three finalists of the Runas 2021 Project, the contest of emerging bands that every year the Festival do Mundo Celta de Oritigueira organizes.

Thus, from this Tuesday, the nine groups that have passed to the final phase of the contest can be voted on the contest website, to which a total of 24 bands from eleven autonomous communities participated.

The three finalists will come out of them, whose prize will be to get on the main stage of the Ortigueira Festival in 2022, the year in which one of the most important events of the Galician summer returns after two years of absence due to the pandemic.

The nine finalists all come from different territories and only one comes from Galicia. It is Trikitrí, which competes in this final phase with the Basques Adarrots, the Andalusians Darash, the Castilian from Leon Germán Ruíz and the Groovy Celtic Band from Extremadura.

The list of finalists is completed by the Valencians XFanekaes and the Maeloc and Mar del Norte from La Mancha, as well as the French Kelteen, the only international presence among the bands that have reached the final phase of the Runes Project 2021.

The results of the voting, which may be issued until Friday, July 23 at 2:00 p.m., will be known between Wednesday, July 28 and Friday, July 30.

During those days, each of the three winning groups of the Runas 2021 Project will be revealed, which will be part of the poster for the next Ortigueira Festival, which will return in 2022 after two years of absence due to the covid-19 pandemic.
