Musicians of the year in previous editions were violinists Prof. Mincho Minchev, Vasko Vasilev and Svetlin Rusev, conductors Prof. Vasil Arnaudov, Emil Tabakov and Rositsa Batalova, opera primas Gena Dimitrova, Raina Kabaivanska, Anna Tomova-Sintova and Krasimira Stoyanova, pianists Prof. .Viktor Chuchkov and Lyudmil Angelov, the piano duo Aglika Genova – Lyuben Dimitrov, the composer Prof. Ivan Spasov, the cavalryman Theodosii Spasov, the percussionist Tatyana Koleva.
The poll for 2008 was focused entirely on young Bulgarian talents, and out of the eight nominees, the most votes for “Young Musician of the Year” went to Vasilena Serafimova – percussionist. The violinist Vesco Panteleev-Eshkenazi was announced as Musician of the Year 2010, according to the will of the voting listeners.
Listeners can vote during the show “Allegro vivache” every Tuesday after 9 p.m. on the air of the program “Horizon”, on the website muzikant.bnr.bg or on the editorial phone 02 9876 676 on working days in the afternoon. The date of the gala concert, at which the prizes are traditionally presented, will be announced after the end of the poll.
