This Sunday millions of Ecuadorians will go to the polls to elect a new president in what will be the second electoral round.
In this election, the candidates Luisa González and Daniel Noboa will face each other.
The murder of the candidate marked the extraordinary elections.
The new president will serve until 2025.
Electoral authorities of the South American country estimate that in the United States and Canada there are about 127,000 citizens with the right to vote.
About 40,000 are in the Big Apple.
How to vote in New York in the Ecuadorian elections
Ecuadorians residing in New York will be able to go to one of the four voting centers that will be enabled.
Centers are located in the Bronx, Queens, Long Island and the Hudson Valley.
Voting hours will be from 9:00 in the morning to 7:00 at night.
The Ecuadorian authorities point out that voters may present their ID, passport or consular ID as identification, no matter if they have expired.
