PT KCIC is still offering promotions for High Speed Train tickets until December 2023. However, the ticket price this time has increased to IDR 200 thousand.
Promotional ticket prices Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train originally IDR 150 thousand which was valid from October 18 to the end of November. PT KCIC then continued the ticket promotion until December 2023.
However, the promo ticket price this time is more expensive, starting from IDR 200 thousand for Monday to Thursday. And, the price is IDR 250 thousand from Friday to Sunday.
A passenger named Mila (22) has no problem with the Whoosh promo ticket price increase. According to him, as long as the trip is more efficient, the price of IDR 200 thousand is still affordable.
“IDR 200 thousand is still worth it, for economy class. It’s still affordable. Because I think the time is more efficient. Because if you take Argokan it takes 3 hours. The difference is quite good,” explained Mila at Halim High Speed Train Station, East Jakarta. , Monday (27/11/2023).
Apart from Mila, Kinanti (27) who wants to try the fast train also feels that the ticket promo is appropriate for the distance traveled. He also feels that there are still many people who are interested in getting the Whoosh promo.
“The promo price of IDR 200 thousand is still okay for the distance from Jakarta to Bandung. For IDR 200-250 thousand, I think it’s still okay, and maybe there are still many people interested who haven’t gotten the promotion yet,” said Kinanti.
On the other hand, Kinanti feels that ticket prices without promotions are quite expensive. According to him, the normal price of IDR 300 thousand is suitable for people who have urgent needs.
“It’s a bit expensive, yes. Because comparing it with Argo Parahyangan, I would check IDR 200 thousand. Because if the duration is one third faster, maybe it’s okay for people who need it urgently. But not for me personally,” he said.
Daniel (29), who is trying Whoosh for the first time, also thinks that the December promo price is still affordable. However, it would be different if ticket prices became normal.
“For me IDR 200 thousand is still okay. IDR 250 thousand is still okay. If the original price is IDR 300 thousand, then again there are choices. It depends on what our needs are,” explained Daniel.
“If you need it quickly, this (Whoosh) could be an option. If you’re not in a hurry, you want something more affordable, there are other options besides this,” he continued.
