Vosges. Wrongly accused of mistreatment, Louna’s parents will be compensated

Justice has once again ruled in favor of Sabrina Dietsch and Yoan Bombarde.

The couple had been fighting for a long time to obtain reason for a terrible injustice: their daughter Louna had been taken from them for three years because they were accused of mistreatment. However, it was easy to prove their innocence, as justice recognized.

They won their case, this Saturday April 3, reports France Bleu Isère, department where the family now lives: the Nancy court ordered two medical experts to pay them 130,000 euros in damages: 100,000 euros for damages, 30,000 to Louna and 10,000 to his little brother .

A simple blood test could have exonerated them

It all started in February 2012. The family then lived in Rambervillers, in the Vosges. Louna is ill and the parents drive her to the hospital. The three-month-old girl suffers from a rare disease, the same as her mother: bradykinic angioedema. This leaves traces similar to bruises.

In the hospital, the parents report this peculiarity, but the doctor does not believe them and issues a report.

Medical experts are appointed. Parents assure that a simple blood test would reveal the truth, but medical experts refuse to do so. They conclude in mistreatment.

“We were arrested as delinquents”

The parents are indicted and Louna placed in foster care … where she continues to have the same marks. It took three years for the parents to prove their innocence by taking a blood test, one day when they were allowed to see their daughter.

“We were arrested as delinquents, placed in police custody, Sabrina Dietsch told our colleagues. We tried to make us confess what we had not done! It’s terrible for parents of be accused of mistreating their child, when it is false! “

The parents also attacked the hospital and are awaiting the decision of the administrative justice.
