The Corona economic aid was a very important support for Hessian companies during the pandemic, and was also urgently needed. In the interests of our Hessian economy, unnecessary repayments must be avoided at all costs, said the Hessian Ministry of Economic Affairs. Currently, only around two thirds of the expected final accounts have been received and the number of submissions is also low. The Hessian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the State of Hesse’s approval office located at the Giessen Regional Council are therefore urgently requesting that the deadline be extended until September 30 and that the missing final accounts for the Corona economic aid be submitted in the next few weeks. There will be no further extension.
A particularly urgent appeal to all companies that have not yet applied for an extension until September 30th to take care of the final settlement and to contact the approval office of the State of Hesse immediately is directed at them. The submission deadlines for these companies have already expired. Reminder letters have been sent to all those affected in recent weeks.
Background:
The obligation to submit a final statement applies to the Bridging Aid I to IV programs and the November and December aid. In Hesse alone, around five billion euros in funding was paid out as part of this aid. Due to the tense situation at the time, it was permissible to initially prepare applications on a forecast basis. In order to enable the funds to be paid out to applicants quickly and without red tape, provisional approval notices were initially issued. The final statement now involves the final determination of the amount of funding and the final approval of the funding.
