“Miner” overcame on the way out “Vorsklu” in the match of the 24th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match in Poltava ended with a score of 0:1.
Donetsk took the lead in the 22nd minute of the match. Danylo Sikan successfully played in the finish after the home goalkeeper Pavlo Isenko saved Oleksandr Zubkov’s shot after a cross from the Brazilian Kevin.
In the second half, “miners” remained in the minority – in the 56th minute Zubkov received a straight red card for not reaching the ball and hitting Isenko’s head on the finish.
However, the Poltava team could not take advantage of the numerical advantage and avoid defeat.
Review of the match “Vorskla” – “Shakhtar”
After this victory, “Shakhtar” (52 points) continues to lead in the UPL. Marino Pushich’s wards are 4 points ahead of “Dynamo” and “Kryvbas”. At the same time, the Kryvyi Rih club played two matches more. “Vorskla” (30 points) is in the seventh position.
In the next matches of the championship of Ukraine, “Miners” will play against “Zorya” on April 18, and Poltava will host “Kolos” on April 20.
