Vorpommern-Greifswald: Stricter rules expected from Wednesday | NDR.de – news

Status: January 18, 2021 5:48 p.m.

In the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, the incidence value is still just under 200. According to District Administrator Michael Sack (CDU), stricter corona protective measures are expected to apply from Wednesday.

The new rules are currently being worked out, said Sack NDR 1 Radio MV. According to the information, this includes the 15 km radius limit and a night curfew. According to Sacks, nothing should change in the rules for daycare centers and schools: “In the current case numbers, daycare centers and schools no longer play a major role in contrast to the time before Christmas.”

Sack: “The most important thing is to keep your distance”

Sack sees the outpatient care services and inpatient care facilities as the cause of the high number of new corona infections, in addition to the diffuse cases in the entire district, many people would be infected in private. Sack again appealed to the population to comply with the AHA rules: “The most important thing is to keep your distance, always! Follow the rules consistently. Be disciplined and don’t make any exceptions. Stay at home as far as possible . ” As the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) announced on Monday, the seven-day incidence in the district has risen again to almost 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

New measures only after the federal-state conference

The district has not yet announced any concrete measures, but according to the currently applicable state corona ordinance, exceeding the limit value results in a curfew and a restricted radius of movement around your own place of residence. A corresponding general decree has been prepared, said a district spokeswoman. However, one also wants to see which resolutions will be discussed on Tuesday at the federal-state conference on tightened corona measures.

Further tightened measures also on the lake district

The Mecklenburg Lake District district slipped further below the 200 limit on Monday with an incidence value of 187.5. However, this does not mean that the curfew and reduced radius of movement will be lifted. These measures are valid until at least January 31st. They aren’t eased until the seven-day incidence of the circle stays below 200 for at least two weeks. In all of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania there are a total of 350 people with Covid 19 disease in hospital, 87 of them in the intensive care unit (as of Monday 4:17 p.m.). Two more people recently died of or with Corona across the country, informed the State Office for Health and Social Affairs. With the new numbers, the nationwide incidence value is 118.7.

Second corona vaccination only after 28 days

Unlike in some other federal states, the health authorities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania did not start the second vaccinations against the corona virus on Sunday. The country and the districts had previously agreed not to vaccinate again until after 28 days. According to the vaccine manufacturer, the second vaccination can be given up to 28 days after the first. The country had withheld the second dose as a precaution. This guarantees that everyone who has already been vaccinated can also receive the second injection, said Health Minister Harry Glawe (CDU). The country decided to take this step because there were always bottlenecks in vaccines from the start of deliveries.

The northeast is statistically the leader in vaccination

Currently, all vaccination doses in the districts and urban districts are used up. For Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the minister initially expects 1,200 Moderna vaccine doses per week in addition to the approximately 10,000 vaccine doses with the active ingredient from Biontech-Pfizer. As of Friday, 35,355 people in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania had already been vaccinated against the corona virus. The northeast is Germany’s front runner. 22 people per 1,000 inhabitants received the first injection. The worst in statistics is Baden-Württemberg. There are just eight vaccinated for every 1,000 inhabitants.
