Former NFL star Vontae Davis, 35, is dead.
His body was found at his grandmother’s home on Monday morning.

Vontae Davis was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2009 draft.
He played ten seasons in the NFL before ending his career abruptly – in the middle of a game.
According to the TV channel WSVN His body was found at his grandmother’s house in Southwest Ranches, north of Miami, Monday morning.
Police say they do not suspect foul play.
“Lost a hero”
He is now being mourned by former teammates and coaches.

“We have lost a hero today. Rest in peace, Vontae Davis. I have only fond memories of him,” writes Chester Frazier, who coached Davis in college.
Childhood friend Bobby Maze is appalled.
”Life will never be the same without you. I think about our Facetime conversations and wish we could have had one more. You defied the odds, you succeeded – and you did it your way. But it wouldn’t have ended like this,” he writes.
“Terrible”
Vontae Davis, who played the defensive position of cornerback, played a total of 121 games in the NFL, 76 of them with the Indianapolis Colts.
