Volvo has great success with the electric XC40 in Norway. Now they will soon follow up with more coupe-influenced C40.
Here, Volvo first went out with an estimated range of up to 420 kilometers. This number has now been adjusted upwards:
The C40 Recharge Twin has a range of up to 444 kilometers, according to the European test procedure, WLTP. The model, which is now for sale in Norway, will have a range of up to 441 kilometers, as the version to be sold in Norway comes with equipment level and specifications that are adapted to Nordic conditions.
Volvo has just started production of the C40 at its factory in Ghent, Belgium, and customer deliveries are expected to start in January.

The C40 is the latest in a series of electric cars to be launched in the coming years. By 2030, Volvo Cars will exclusively produce all-electric cars.
In Norway, customers can order the car online, or visit a dealer for help. You can choose between buying or subscribing to the car.
Included in the purchase price, Volvo gives the customer three years of service, three years of full hull insurance, roadside assistance, replacement of air filter, replacement of tire sealant, cleaning of sensors on window panes, software updates, replacement of wipers (once a year) and replacement of brake discs / pads when they are worn.
It is first and foremost the rear that distinguishes the C40 from today’s XC40 (rear).

– We have included as much as possible to give the customer a very carefree car maintenance, and see that this type of comprehensive offer works well in our subscription service. Therefore, we are expanding this concept to also apply to purchases, says Erik Trosby who is PR and communications manager at Volvo Car Norway.
The C40 is launched with the highest level of equipment for Volvo’s electric cars. Equipment C40 Recharge is supplied with, among other things, heat pump, adaptive cruise controlP, pilot assist, blind spot alerts, electric driver’s seat with memory, fog lights, active pixel LED headlights, inductive charger, panoramic roof, electric passenger seat, heated steering wheel and front and rear seats, 360-degree parking camera and premium sound system from Harman Kardon as standard.
This is what it looks like inside. Volvo has also dropped traditional leather seats in the C40, it is not available on this model.

The starting price for the C40 is NOK 554,900 before the optional purchase. The subscription price starts at NOK 6,890 per month. before the option for Fixed (three-year lock-in period) and NOK 7,890 per month before the option for Flex (three-month lock-in period).
Like the XC40 Recharge Twin, the C40 Recharge Twin has two engines, one front and one rear, and comes with 4×4 as standard. The two engines give a total power of 408 horsepower and a torque of 660 Nm. The car goes from 0 – 100 in 4.9 seconds. The top speed of the C40 is limited to 180 km / h for safety reasons.
