Volvo starts its own network of fast charging stations in Belgium

Volvo Cars wants to develop a network of fast chargers in our country and in Luxembourg that should have 30 stations by the middle of next year. There, drivers can charge their electric car at high power, so that they can drive 100 kilometers again after a few minutes of charging. The stations can also be used by cars of other makes.

The fast chargers work at a power of up to 175 kW or 200 kW, allowing cars to cover 100 kilometers again after a few minutes of charging. After about 40 minutes of charging time, a battery is again almost full range.

The charging points will be located on Volvo dealer sites but will be open to all electric car drivers. Volvo customers do receive a favorable rate. The aim is to supply 100 percent green electricity.

The operation is in line with Volvo’s ambition to become a fully electric car manufacturer. The Swedish-Chinese company aims to produce only electric vehicles by 2030.
