In Tréguier, it’s time to warm up to take part in the races and walks of the Trégo’rose, 10th edition, October 1st! The profits from these events are donated to medical research against breast cancer.
Two walks, and two runs
Last year, the 850 athletes raised €8,777, says Mathilde l’Hostis, the president of the association. Departing and arriving from the quays of Tréguier, from 8:30 a.m., the 9 km mixed walk will stop at the Savina high school where walkers will be able to admire the various announcement posters for the Trégo’rose created by the 1ère students. year of DNmade graphics and vote for their favorite.
It will be followed at 9 a.m. by the men’s race, with the possibility of doing it as a couple provided they cross the line together, and at 10:30 a.m. by the women’s race; both races will take place on a 5 km loop, which can be completed twice. Without forgetting a heritage walk, led and commented by Jean-Michel Huon at 9:30 a.m.
Balls, music and disguises
However, as this is a festive event, a costume competition will reward the best among them, and musical entertainment will be provided by the Bagad of Landreger, the Sonerien an Trev of Lézardrieux and the Kan Ar Skrill ringers.
A raffle will take place for all participants and the AST pétanque will organize a double pétanque competition at 3 p.m., the contributions of which will be donated to the Trégo’rose.
Registrations (€9, free for under 12s) must be completed before September 30 at 4 p.m. ikinoa.com ; at Cœur de femmes, 28 rue Saint-André, or at l’Histoire vagabonde, 65 rue Ernest Renan.
The organizers are also calling for volunteers to help with this solidarity event: around forty would be welcome!
