Among the ten volunteers present, Gérard Barbate has 37 years of service to the association. “In the family, everyone gives blood. I returned in 1984. I took the place of a nephew who was leaving… And I’m still here, ”he says. We can guess a broad smile under the mask of the 73-year-old Lunévillois. “I have known four presidents! », Underlines this retiree from Trailor and former boilermaker. He made around 90 blood donations and many other plasma donations. With humor, he announces having turned his eye during a sample of each and having returned to work after having regained his senses. “I knew the collections at the château in the Livrée room. I gave up to the age limit ”. Today, he mainly takes care of the distribution of posters in town before each collection.
The donations of the day allowed us to collect 150 pockets, a satisfactory figure for the president.
