Voluntary Blood Donation Campaigns: Donate and Save Lives in Neuquén Province, Argentina

Blood is an input that is needed all year round and cannot be manufactured artificially. Voluntary and regular donors are needed all year round.

The Provincial Hemotherapy Network works to raise awareness among the population about the importance of voluntary blood donation, since this altruistic act allows us to ensure a stock of quality units to respond to the needs of health establishments.

The health teams promote campaigns so that people come to donate blood and commit to doing so at least twice a year, becoming voluntary and regular donors, without receiving any type of compensation for it. Blood donation is a process that is carried out with all the necessary biosafety standards.

According to the data provided by the Health Ministry, it is estimated that a person who donates voluntarily can save up to four lives.

For those people who are interested in donating blood, proper hydration the day before the donation is essential.
