With the aim of motivating people to support this initiative, the companyVetch implements an information campaign again this year, in Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Volos, Patras and Heraklion, Crete. The aim is to provide complete and clear information on the value of voluntary blood donation and the contribution of love to fellow human beings, while encouraging all of us to become voluntary blood donors
For the company Vetch, the concept of giving takes on a special meaning, with active participation in social actions that focus on people. In January 2010, the first voluntary blood donation took place at the initiative of the owners Mr. P. Sepetas and E. Theoharis – themselves voluntary blood donors – in collaboration with the Ioannina Chatzikosta General Hospital. From then until today, the companyVetch has carried out 38 corporate blood drivesin which they have been collected in total 995 vials of blood.
Supporting the efforts of voluntary blood donation, the company has offered a mobile blood collection unit to the “Hatzikosta” hospital of Ioannina and three special vehicles, with state-of-the-art equipment, for the safe transport of blood bottles to the National Blood Donation Center (EKEA).
